I think that's been a frustration I've had in the past with the Gold Star; they don't really seem to correlate, and I like the order of having everything "match". The 10 year old picks up on concepts super quickly and also has a great ear so he tends to fly through things (academically as well as on the piano). I think I'll try him on Accelerated. The 11 year old takes a bit more time, so I think I'll get 2a for him.
