I couldn't give you a recommendation as to payments for a HS teacher. Although for a short term transition I might have the student observe at least 1 weeks of every students' lessons, than sit down and let that Sub know the plans/ goals you have for each student while you are on leave or start every other week lessons with you supervising on your off week. Than check in after a couple weeks to see how things are progressing and as you work back into teaching have an overlap of every other teaching. As far as pay goes that one is up to you.. I suppose you could still get paid and pay the substitute but than you'd probably want a tax professionals help. Make it worth the subs' time. It also depends on where the lessons will be be held if they are still in your studio than provisions for that are a must.
